Personal Finance

Everyday during 4th period between 11:55 - 12:40 I get to teach the class that has become my most enjoyable. This year Coach Wade put a new elective in called Personal Finance and asked if I would teach it. I accepted and I am glad I did. We use Dave Ramsey curriculum and it is a blast to teach. I love the group of students in this class. They are all very smart and interested in the subject matter. We have learned things from staying out of debt, saving money for college and retirement, and doing a budget. I hope this class works out for this group in the long run.

DC Homecoming 2008

This past Friday night was Homecoming at Dallas Christian. I hesitated on whether or not to take the girls because I would absolutely not be able to watch the game if they came. We got there right at kickoff and my prediction came true. Maddie was pretty easy, but Macie didn't want to stay still. I walked her around a little bit, but finally in the 2nd quarter she relaxed a little bit with Jaime. We stayed around and saw Laci Butler get crowned Homecoming Queen (yeah!) and then left. It took us awhile to leave because of everyone who wanted to see the girls. I think it took the entire 3rd quarter to leave Charger Stadium. By the way, the Chargers defeated TCCH 53-28. TCCH was a good team.
